AUCTION EMAIL ALERTS
Hi All:
I was thinking that it would be helpful that if we were waiting for a particular auction that as soon as it gets offered, we would get an email alert (similar to the ones from the LL community response alerts) telling us that we can start bidding. Would anyone else find this helpful or use this feature ?

Re: AUCTION EMAIL ALERTS
I for one would definately use that feature if it was intrioduced. If perhaps one day you did not have time to go through the auctions but were really interested in a particular one, then at least if you got an e-mail alert there would be less chance that you would miss out on the auction. As long as you check your e-mails regularly then you would always be aware of the particular auction you were interested in. It would be good ifthey could have a list of all the properties which you are interested in and oncethey were available it would be handy if there was a feature which e-mailed you with updates and progress of those particular auctions, especially if the highest bid had changed.

Re: AUCTION EMAIL ALERTS
This discussion prompted me to look at the options under favorites andauctions and offers you arewatching. You can select a property from the potfolio and add it your favorites. Then you can quickly see if there are any offersfor it. True,it's not an email, which is a good ideaalso. But in the meantime, it might be helpful.

This suggestion sounds great. The possibility of learning about a preferred auction and bidding at any time or place sounds like a winner.

It would even be good if you could put a city or country you were interested in and if a new auction came up in that city or country you would get an alert or email

I have used the track auction feature on my account page. I agree that an auction alert or reminder for ageneral destination by region or town would be a plus.

VIP7...LL could also explore an alert system, similar to the type used used by Southwest Airlines (maybe you have seen the TV commercials....it is called "DING"....just like the sound when the captain turns off the seat belt sign). The program is embedded, once the subscriber registers.....then when something of interest is available from Southwest....like an airfare between to specifics cities, the "DING" goes off and the subscriber can check and see if they are interested. I use the system for one of my business destinations. We could sign up for specific auctions and LL could send us a notification.....rather than digging through junk mail.

Email alerts would be especially helpful to me during travel times when I have limited access to the internet. Just a short and clear message about a favorite auction and a link to bidding would keep me in the loop via a Treo. Cheers...Marolyn

Hi marylon:
That's true you don't want to miss out on a aution when you're on vacartion, which gives me another idea. Maybe a text message to your cell phone when an auction comes up that you have asked to be alerted to. Sometimes I go a few days myself without checking email (and a lot can happen on LL during that time)...But I always have my phone with me !

Re: AUCTION EMAIL ALERTS
Hi disneygal,
I have used this feature since I started auctioning LL packages and put properties on it that I might want to visit in the future. This is a very handy reference to see what is on and I check it religiously. Unfortunately, as of late, many of these favorite properties I have been tracking come up with 0 offerings.
