auctions closing soon

I was going to look at auctions "closing soon" but apparently there were not any. The nearest auction doesn't close until 26th November.I have never seen this happen before. Normally, there are always auctions for that day. Maybe it is just that I have never checked when the auctions are not closing for a good few days?I always thought there would be auctions closing every day.

mary-j....likely this situation is a result of the Thanksgiving holiday celebrated on November 22. Possibly, the LL staff will not be returning to their office until Monday, November 26th.

Funny, I was just puzzling over why there were no 'One-day auctions' on Thursday and Friday. Sounds like that's down to Thanksgiving as well!

.....for our off-shore community members, most likely, you will find the LL staff observing US holidays and weekendsin terms of auction availabilities.....maybe that policy will change in time, should the company decide to havean expandedglobal presence.....would certainly makes sense, should they determine there is a large enough off-shore profile market to justify their staffing costs.

Hi O,

I'm fine with things the way they are, but it would be very helpful if they'd let us know in advance (perhaps with a post on the Community Announcements board). We don't know when US holidays are so the silence can sometimes be a bit mysterious and lead us to wonder if there is a problem with the site or our internet connection.
