Just wondering, since we all mention future plans in different threads, what's on your agenda for leisure travel next year?

1) Plans decided for 2009, including ones in progress or dates allotted

2) Dream Trips for 2009

For 2009, we are 1st headed back to Guatemala. Great values, great properties, great people! We also will do the "usual suspects", Virgin Gorda and Anguilla. We are stumped for our last trip. It is our 20 year anniversary (honeymoon was Yugoslavia). Would love to go back to Greece or Croatia/Slovenia but prices just kill me! Will probably look to Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil. Not sure yet but looking forward to planning! Will also have a wedding in Florida, and will continue our quarterly trips to Washington DC.

Good question, kyshel....still thinking and looking a new offerings from LL. We really blew it this past year, missing out on bidding on one of the limited number of auctions for Aqua Expeditions Amazon river cruises in Peru. Just a simply matter of procrastination. Doesn't appear Aqua Expeditions packages will be back up for auction in the near future, if ever again. The best deals went for the minimum bids. Read a detailed article about their trips and the level of personal services offered in Departure Magazine a month or two back (our eyes were moist with frustration and sadnessby the timewe finished reading about what we missed). According to the writer, the cruises have been extremely successful and generally sold out.....guess the LL exposure was good for their business.



We don't want to book any trips in January, just in case we get an invitation to attend any parties in Washington, DC/



We'll be lurking in the shadows ready to pounce on something special from our friends at LLbefore too long!

Well, Atlanta is my next LL bleisure trip and I haven't made any plans for 2009, but I'm open to suggestions and ideas.

How about Colonial Mexico, Mountie?

We have cruise certificates that we earned from NCL credit card. We've been holding off because we weren't crazy about cruising again, but looks like an itinerary for Roatan and Belize is kinda nice, so we're probably going in Jan. Hey, it's a balcony cabin and it's free!
I am considering the short trip options: Belize, Central Mexico or Guatemala? Little 5 day jaunts are so much fun! Sure wish LL had more options for Argentina!
We have the Mateya safari to use between June and Sept, so that's on the books. (Contributor, betsyv, will have a reviewed the property by then and maybe we'll add one of her LL pkgs and extend the trip!)

I'm in a dilemma, like Bonniejoy03, for the BIG travel experience for 09!!
I think Bali will be an irresistible return option, to include Lombok and maybe a stop in Hong Kong? Or Vietnam?
BUT Peru is pulling me that direction...
