01-08-2011, 10:42 AMGlad to know St Teresa's & the bakery are still in business. How about the brewery & restaurant on the corner? As walk-ins, we could not get seats several years ago. Alas, a cousin moved from a rural area outside of the city, so my excuses to go there, vanished.

Here is a good article I ran across on how to look for and avoid bedbugs:
15 Tips for Avoiding Hotel Bedbugs - FoxNews.com
The article refers to plastic bags made to zip over your suitcase. Anyone own these or know where they can be purchased?

Found a company that sells the luggage covers. They have clear drawer liners too. Looks like this is good insurance these days.

Have you EVER personally encountered a bed bug infestation at a hotel? on an airline? in an airport?
Seriously, this is a scare that warrants less attention.
As you know, I have connection with airline employees with various websites and travel sites. NEVER once Have i heard a personal story about bed bugs from any crew or family members (years of travel) I'm referring to Regional pilots and FA's, mainline employees who fly all over multiple continents, in superior, and in, cities like Chicago, LA, Miami, NY, Newark and smaller ones, sometimes in not so nice hotels, ad infinitum....
I still think it's rare."wherever you go, there you are"
