Not yet here! However we try to be alert. Thought this recent You Tube video from the "Bug People" at Cornell might be of interest. It is valuable because it shows several infestations and the life stages, to help with identification. A recent NYT article said an entomologist keeps his luggage in the bathroom when traveling.

I'm on the road often for work. While I don't put my suitcase in the bathroom, I've always made a practice of never putting my bag on a soft surface, never on the bed or even a sofa or chair. I normally put the bag on a luggage rack, keeping it elevated from the floor. Some say to also keep the bag & luggage rack away from the wall. If I can't get a luggage rack, then I'll put my bag on a table or some other hard surface.
When I first enter the room, I check out the mattress before settling in. I pull up the sheet & look at the mattress, on the edges, in the crevices.
So far, no bed bugs - thank goodness!

But If I continue to read articles like this and hear the matter mentioned on TV, then I am certain I will begin to itch each time I get in a hotel bed!
Another bedbug article and poll......

I am in the midst of my heavy business travel time. I was only home 2 days in Sept, 3 days in October and am currently in Bali, headed to Hong Kong and then China returning to the USA in November. I am lucky that so farI haven't really found or seen any but every time I read an article on them, I do begin to itch...
Betsyv,
Not to make you start itching.........but British Airways has had to fumigate 2 of their 747's after finding bed bug infestation on the planes after a customer complained. You can read the full article here:

The female who filed the complaint posted photos of her numerous bites online. This is just one of the pics-
