Best credit card deal . . . ever!

My wife and I both applied for and received this Hyatt credit card. It's the best credit card deal ever. The annual fee is only $75 and you get two free nights at any Hyatt in the world as long as you make purchases of at least $1,000 in the first three months after you open your card. We're heading to Chile and we're using one of our free nights to stay at the Portland airport ($144) when we leave and three free nights to stay in Santiago, where the least expensive room is $331 per night. We paid $150 for the two credit cards and we're getting $1137 worth of hotel rooms. Now that's a bargain!

The Hyatt Visa credit card is great.....using my certificate this evening at the Palacio Dauhau Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires.....rack rate is $500 USD +++ and the front desk is offering us an upgraded suite.....we accepted!

I'll bet they had to twist your arm to get you to take that suite. Have a great time in Buenos Aires. My original plan was to fly into B.A. in December and then head west to Chile, but I'll only be in Chile on this trip.

I forgot to mention that there's no transaction fee when you use your Hyatt card overseas. Most credit cards charge 3% per transaction. That means if you buy $2,500 in taxable goods using the card, the card is essentially free because you'll save $75 in foreign transaction fees.

Hi P....the British Airways Chase card does not have the transaction fee. I love to use it abroad. Also, we just received their 100,000 mile promotion. We were able to secure frequent flier seats with their partner, American Airlines. The good news is that we have points left over! They give 1.2 miles for every $1 spent.

Just got back from Chile and Argentina and used my Hyatt card exclusively. We had to take money out of an ATM only twice in three weeks. It's nice to know that I didn't have to pay any fees on top of the exact exchange rate at the time.

Hi P...please update us! We are heading to Argentina in January. I heard talk of "official" and "unofficial" exchange. Any trip recommendations for Buenos Aires and Mendoza??

I'd stick to national bank ATMs and use a no-fee card.
