In planning your next trip, you may want to sign up for that city's local Groupon deals. I've done this before with cities in the US, i.e., Seattle. But I hadn't thought about doing it with international cities ........like Paris.....

I bought several vouchers for Bangkok last Feb. The company was TikTokThai and currently suspended (due to competition?) I had 2 half-price vouchers for very upscale spa treatments. Dinner for 2 less than half $, a recently opened international restaurant (former chefs of the Alila properties)
I am on my way to Prague to supplement our stay/spa deal at Hotel Hoffmeister. I use a site called Lime&Tonic (Oz based) We're getting massages and half day use of the rooftop (enclosed) spa at the Corinthia Hotel, overlooking the Vltava River and the city. Those were only $50 each.
I received a fabulous invitation only offer for degustation dinner at a famous Prague restaurant--wine flights included for $80 for 2! Sadly, it is tonite and we don't arrive Prague until Monday...
There is also a company called Ensogo (granddaddy of them all in Asia) so I peruse it for Thailand. (I think that's why TikTok is down...)

I even posted a thread on tripadvisor about a fabulous offer and it had my referral code--I got a bonus reward from each new signup for passing on the link. I'm waiting for the new Budapest version.

I'm a Groupon and LivingSocialaholic, but I haven't purchased any of their international deals yet. I've bought deals when I've traveled in the U.S. (Portland, Seattle, Boston, Pittsburgh, etc.), but never overseas. I wouldn't hesitate to buy international deals from Groupon or LivingSocial, but I'm a little leary about buying from other companies that I don't know anything about.

I have to say I had an extra voucher I bought for my husband when he was regularly flying to Prague. Lime&Tonic refunded promptly when the merchant would not allow me to double up one offer. It was all done thru PayPal so I felt secure. We lost a few dollars on the transaction due to PP commission but so minimal.
PS--They had an offer for Soviet Tank Adventure today!! No tanks!

Hi K...I just checked Groupon for our Argentina trip. I can read Spanish so this helped. I then checked Greece and I can't read Greek. Is there a way to check for an English version? Clever idea!

My sites all have ENG versions--usually a union jack or US flag. Sometimes it's hard to find the link.

Must find that! I am getting Spanish emails and am trying to translate. It is almost like having homework everyday!! I will check for a ENG version!

Just got back from the spa pkg at Corinthia, Prague. Worth every czech crown!!
I saw an article in the McPaper they had at reception but didn't have time (nor glasses) to read it--about Groupon COO and some bad business...
