Comment regarding stay at Lomas del Mar, Ixtapa

We have just returned from a week at Lomas del Mar. It is absolutely beautiful and everything visual is wonderful. We did not see another guest while there although we did see a number of visiting consultants who we were told were involved with the Thalasso Spa. In the early few days, there was a meeting of the owners of Lomas as well.

Frankly, we felt that the only staff that understood what was required of them was the two spa staffers. While everyone was extremely polite and there were plenty of them, it seemed to us that their training was lacking. Housekeepers, wait staff, and even front desk/reception were not trained to give the quality of service expected in a luxury hotel. They would benefit from the type of training givenby any Five Star Hotel.

As frequent travelers and suppliers to luxury hotels as well, we love to chat with hotelmanagementandgive feedback. But, before we knew it, there were 20 items on our list, all relating to staff training basically. Sadly, despite being the only guests present, we were never given the chance.

We would be happy to pass all of the comments along. However,we feel that simply posting them is non-constructive.

Lomas del Mar could be the most fabulous hideaway in Mexico. Physically, it has all the tools.
