Cooking school vacations?

Hi all--anyone have any suggestions for good cooking school vacations/tours? I recently did a small class in Santa Fe (which was fabulous) and wanted to explore new and longer vacation options. I've never seen any on LL and Google has not been my friend in this endeavor--there's a lot out there but no way to vet what is of good quality. Any suggestions or recommendations? There are no food/allergy restrictions.

These guys offer an interesting three and four day course: Vermont Hotels- The Essex- Burlington Vermont Resort, Northern VT Hotel Vacations I like Essex better than Burlington. I had fun. I'm almost certain Alton Brown graduated from the full program

Hi N. I have noticed a few cooking locations while planning our trip to Greece and Argentina. In Mendoza, Argentina, Finca Andalgisa has cooking classes. It sounds lovely and has received rave reviews. In Greece, Melenos Lindos in Rhodes also will tailor cooking classes for your visit. (Melenos Lindos is a LL property also!) We just coordinated our trip and we received information about "a culinary vacation" as part of the trip....Very nice!

We have been here and had a great time....several of the other community members have also been to this destination.

If we are going to be in a location (especially outside the US) for several days, we often do an Internet search, starting with the city + cooking classes + cooking schools. We have found a number of small operations (usually a single individual) offering classes.

Orient-Express properties often will accommodate a request to experience some 'kitchen time' with a chef, even if the program is not listed ......usually requires some advanced preparations and communications, but we have done this twice and enjoyed it.

Bangkok and nearly every major tourist area in Thailand has lots of cooking courses. When we reschedule our Bali trip, we'll still take a class in Indonesian cuisine. Hotel Tugu has offerings. We try to find the ones where you visit the local market first--sometimes quite a challenge.

I took a cooking class at Quinta las Acacias. At the time, they were a Luxury Link property, but I'm not sure if they are now. As Omegaet mentioned, Meson Sacrista is a Luxury Link package that includes cooking classes. I haven't been there, but it's way up on my list. My wife took a cooking class in Chiang Mai this summer.
