Destination Section

Does anyone still use the destination section? I do like to review the individual regions but it doesn't seem like there is much traffic in the area? Any other opinions? Do you like it? Not like it? Improvements?

I use it if I'm not sure which country or city I want to search. I try to find a destination thru the airline, then check out packages on LL I can use. Sometimes I just go shopping. I prefer the $1500 and under section but when you try to limit the options like area, persons or days the function reverts back to all offers so it's useless. All you can do is sort by price or auction ending.

I check the Destination section regularly. I'm looking for a two or three night package in Vancouver, B.C. for the middle of August, but there aren't any Vancouver properties on Luxury Link any more. There were some a few months ago, but they expired before I needed them. I'll keep checking every few days.

Sorry everyone. I was referring to the destination section under the "community forum." I hadn't seen much activity and comments lately under the specific regions. Wondered if it is used by you?

I am guessing you mean the region pages set up on the bottom half of the community page landing.....

I don't use it a great deal. This is for 2 reasons:
1) I can't see without entering the page whether there are new postings. I wish the 2nd half of the page view was the same as the top half.
2) I have found that postings on those pages are not answered very quickly (if at all). I think this is mostly due to reason #1. I have started threads in these destination pages and ended up having to repost it in the general Q&A so it was seen and answered.

Exactly. It doesn't seem like there is much activity in these sections. I hope that people new to LL know about these sections. I do review them often however, I don't see anything new added. Looks like most people post to the General Q & A.

LL moderators: Any opinions on keeping the destination section in the community forum or revamping it to provide more traffic? I see that some properties up for auction have a link to these forums. The problem is that there isn't much updated information on the forum.
