Destinations in the US more expensive?
I hardly ever look at the packages for the USA but was looking at them today and I was surprised at how pricey many of them are compared to packages listed in destinations outside of the US - is it just me or do others think so?
Maybe has to do with the high cost of living in the US or union employees, or just a quirk ;-)

I've seen LOTS of stuff increase in price here due to the oil prices, slow economy and uncertainty of our government, debt etc...
I agree that more overseas pkg prices seem stable. I was happy to see the Royal Pita Maha in Bali is exactly the same as it was in 2009--up $100 from what we paid in '08. I'm getting the urge to go back..."wherever you go, there you are"

Hi,
We have a few favorite LL destinations in the US that I have been watching over the years. Yes, prices have definitely gone up for those properties. At times, the price stayed the same, but the offering was cut down from 4 nights to 3 nights, or other amenities were tweaked.
I find introductory prices usually are quite good, in the US and abroad, but unfortunately, prices go up the following year, or the properties no longer participate.
