Did anyone else notice that South America has disappeared

I know there have been some earthquakes in Chile recently - I was thinking maybe SA sunk into the ocean

ME too P...when? where? We are heading to Argentina in December.

Not sure. I don't know if you saw my post from a week or two ago, but I won a roundtrip ticket anywhere in South American that LAN flies. I have to use the ticket by June of next year. Unfortunately, communication with LAN is incredibly slow. First, they told me that I had won a trip to Buenos Aires, but after reading the rules, it said that I could go anywhere that LAN flies. It took two weeks to sort that out. Now I'm waiting to hear if I can fly into one city and out of another, which is what I'll probably do to avoid backtracking.

Where are you going in Argentina? I probably won't go to Argentina since I've been to South America only once and that was in Chile and Mendoza. I realize that there's a lot more to Argentina than Mendoza, but I'm thinking about a rainforest trip. I love seeing and photographing wildlife.

We are going to Chacras de Coria, Bariloche, Buenos Aires, and Colonia. LUCKY you about the ticket. It will be quite fun planning the trip!

Lucky you BJ - I know you and the hubby work - you must have lots of vacation days - it always seems like you guys are getting ready or coming back from somewhere! I am jealous. We both get 20 days vacation and have to ration them out.

We are very fortunate we are able to do this. My husband's job situation has changed though. We still hope to continue the travels!!! Ps- heading to DC next month. Will report back on the Liasion Hotel in DC.

I agree. I haven't seen any in Chile. I did win a few in Argentina.
