Did I Tell you How Much I LIKE Global Entry and TSA Precheck??

I just came thru Precheck at SeaTac and I was the ONLY pax using it. I got to leave my jacket and pashmina scarf on my body!!! And shoes! AND--all my stuff stayed in my bag! I watched all the other travelers show ID and go to the regular lines--I got the special one!! You have to find out where the PC lane is at each terminal when you check in.
Worth every penny for GE arriving from international travel, and the bonus using the GE TT # for Prececk---PRICELESS!

You were able to do pre-check arriving from an international flight? I thought you could not do precheck if any leg was international - that is what it says on the TSA page and I could not do the precheck at MIA to PHL when I came back from CR.

Oh, no! Sorry to make it sound otherwise. I am still without a passport until Tuesday, waiting for my China visa. I was just flying RT SEA in 24 hrs. I was relating the GE to Precheck as a double treat!

PreCheck Program Expands To International Flights

The Transportation Security Administration expanded its PreCheck expedited screening program passengers with international itineraries. The program was previously available only to passengers flying domestically.

Passengers enrolled in PreCheck on select international itineraries are able to use the special PreCheck security checkpoints. The expedited screening process allows passengers to leave their shoes, belt and jackets on and liquids and laptops in their bags. They can also walk through metal detectors instead of full-body scanners.

The PreCheck program is open to passengers flying select international flights on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United and US Airways at the 40 airports with existing PreCheck screening lines. Passengers arriving from abroad and connecting to another flight also have access to the program.

"US Airways supports the TSA's risk-based approach to improving security for travelers with programs such as TSA PreCheck. We applaud Administrator Pistole and his team on expanding TSA PreCheck to international itineraries," said Paul Morell, US Airways' vice president of Safety, Security & Environmental Programs. "The program is currently available at 27 U.S. airports for US Airways customers and now our frequent international travelers may be eligible for expedited screening when departing the United States."

PreCheck is available to U.S. citizens invited by an airline based on frequent-flyer program history and to U.S. citizens enrolled in Customs and Border Protection's Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS. Enrollment in Global Entry costs $100 for five years and requires an interview at a CBP office. Do you know what international destinations? This is great news. We had our 1st hassle free security line on our last trip since we left a day early and were only doing a domestic flight - it was heaven and would love to have this on our international flights too......

I guess you could look at the website to find the info (if the government has decided and posted it on TSA PreCheck)

I have not checked their website lately - the last time was a few months ago and they only mentioned Australia, I will check and see if they added more international destinations for this

What I read is that this move is to allow those with Precheck to use it in conjunction with select international itineraries, instead of just limiting PC to domestic travel. I can't find any info on what itineraries would be allowed for Precheck. Sending email to TSA and waiting for reply some day...
