What, DB--you didn't love Snakes on a Plane? I think it was quite hysterical, but certainly have no intention of watching it again...

I am terrified of snakes.....and they were brought too close to an environment I am used to. I still have flashbacks when I doze off in planes.

I grew up with them in our house! My brother, the Jr. herpetologist of the 60's, kept them in his room. Dad salvaged cabinet TVs and put wire mesh where the knobs used to be, and added a perforated, lockable back. As children, we watched white mice meet their doom (only if we sat very still for an hour or so). I wasn't too keen on handling the squirmy little ones, but the larger ones were quite smooth and well-behaved. I avoided the lizards, totally! The real fun was when his squirrel monkey did his business on mom's curlers--of course, in her hair!
