Does Luxury Link Offer Referral Rewards?

LL_Moderators and Community Members, does Luxury Link offer any type of reward or incentive to members who suggest properties that actually become advertisers? I was looking at the new auctionoffer for The Liberty Hotel in Boston http://www.luxurylink.com/auctions/auc_detail.php?id=198333&WT.ac=MOPLEXH and did a search in the community. I noticed that omegaet posted a thread last September entitled Cell With A View and suggested the Sales Team contact The Liberty as a possible advertiser http://community.luxurylink.com/luxurylink/board/message?board.id=board-general&message.id=3757&query.id=116526#M3757



Now that The Liberty Hotel has signed up did omegaet receive a certificate or some other type of award? Is this a program?

LL has had at least one referral contest. I don't know if anyone receives any other perks, besides VIP contributor quarterly awards.

js2 and kyshel, I remember LL running a contest based upon email submission for referrals. Apparent the individual supplying the largest quantity of email addresses received a prize. I've never seen or heard anyone discuss receiving any type of reward for providing the name of a hotel which signs up or is signed up by the sales department to participate as an advertiser. js2, your question does cause me to wonder why LL doesn't bother to reward the individual providing the contact or suggestion. Seems like these recommendations that result in a new advertiser is benefiting LL and providing no benefit for the individual providing the name.

That's the same contest I had in mind t2f. I think the winner was drawn from all entries, not the one with the most referrals. I'm not positive, but it would make sense that everyone who made referrals who signed up would be eligible.
All I know was that I didn't win (waaaahhhhhh)

kyshel and t-2-f, I understand the contest based upon providing emails referrals. My question is : Are either of you or anyone else in this community aware of the LL policy, if there is one, regarding any type of incentives or direct rewards to any individual providing a lead to the sales staff which results in LL signing up the property as an advertiser? What is the benefit, if any, of us providing assistance to LL in developing more properties for their web site?

You should just contact them directly. I know in the past that those that have tried to solicit on the message board generally are removed. I find the staff to be quite good at following up. Alternatively, you can call their business number. They tend to be quite responsive.

maylingla1, apparently you have misunderstood my original question. I understand the procedure for anyone wishing to advertise or solicit business on Luxury Link. They can emaiI or call the corporate offices. Ialso understand the policy Luxury Link has toward those who attempt to post unauthorized solicitations. My question only concerns whether Luxury Link rewards members of this community who provide them with suggestions for properties which end up actually becoming advertiser or providers of service. I have asked if any members who have actually had this happen received anything. Perhaps one of the LL_Editors would comment.

This question is actualy a very good idea! LL should maybe start to offer more referral rewards. It's a really good site with good bargains so we members really don't have anything to lose by referring it to our friends. Maybe we could be rewarded for that too :P

How many properties have you veteran community members actually suggested to LL that have actually appeared as auction packages after your recommendation? Maybe we are just shooting holes in clouds! Maybe nothing has every resulted from a member suggestion!
