It would be very helpful if you could indicate which "trips" allow dogs. Since we currently have 2 Westies that we like to travel with, it would help us a great deal. Thanks.

Re: Dogs
Hello Clancy,
I'd recommend checking with the hotels involved before bidding -- just like with children, some hotels are more dog-friendly than others. Good luck finding a dog-friendly place to take your Westies!
Cheers,
Julian

Re: Dogs
Hello Clancy:
In the Boston-Food thread, I was telling jashermd about my experience at one of the most dog friendly hotels I've ever stayed in. It was a Kimpton Hotel called The Hotel Marlowe and I have to say they treat the dogs as well as the guests with little welcome signs with your pets name when you arrive, treats, and the bellhops will even watch them for you if you have to run a quick errand ! Check out the hotel chain as well for further information.

I agree wholeheartedly with your Kimpton experience, enews. There's actually a thread about travelling with pets where I mentioned my experiences with the Kimpton chain (Hotel Monaco, NineZero, etc.) - and a few others shared some equally great experiences.

Also, I agree with jasher regarding checking with the hotel before bidding. Hotels generally have a pet policy described on their web sites so you can make a preliminary check to see if they allow pets at all. You should always verify directly with the hotel that the pet friendly rooms are those included in the package, as they are usually specifically blocked in a special wing or on a lower floor (for easy access to the outdoors!)

Re: Dogs
Hello,
Also from the Boston thread...here's a hotel (the Fairmont Copley Plaza) where your dogs will receive a warm welcome from their own resident canine ambassador:

Most, if not all, hotels in the Starwood family allow dogs as well. This includes St. Regis (we brought 1 dog with us on a LL trip), The Luxury Collection (booked separately, 1 dog), and Westin (TWO dogs - one a German Shepherd) hotels. I believe the W hotels, being part of theStarwood family)also allow pets, though you will want to confirm with the hotel before booking.
Loew's hotels are also dog-friendly.
