Evason/Soneva/Six Senses Resorts
Hi all, I just got back from a wonderful trip to Vietnam and Cambodia (I'll do a blog under Destinations: Asia once I've recovered from jet lag!) but I just had to post regarding our stay at the Evason Hideaway in Nha Trang, Vietnam, which I purchased through Luxury Link. The resort was unbelievable! We only stayed three nights because I thought my husband and I might get bored at such a remote resort but we were really kicking ourselves we didn't stay longer. What a beautiful setting, excellent service, amazing and environmentally conscious accomodations, etc. etc. Although the hotel was fully booked, we often felt like we were the only ones there, a feeling I loved after so many tourist sites during the rest of our trip.
I'll probably write more specifically about the Hideaway when I have a chance, but I would love to hear from others who have stayed at the Evason/Soneva and Six Senses resorts. Are they all so wonderful, beautiful, peaceful and well-designed? I'm fascinated by the company;'s backround and mission statement and would love to try other properties in their portfolio, many of which are featured at LL. The Soneva resorts in the Maldives seem especially interesting to me. Please let me know your thoughts on other Evason/Soneva experiences you have had.

Hi Classenam-
I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your trip and the Evason Hideaway in particular! I can't wait to read your report on the Asia board. I have only been to the Evason Hideaway in Nha Trang, but we were also blown away by the experience and the company's eco ethics in particular. We're hoping to make it to Soneva Fushi or Gili next year for our anniversary (using an LL package of course).
BTW, did you know that the company is owned by a husband and wife team namedSonu and Eva...hence the names of the resort EVASON and SONEVA. (He was an Indian entreperneur and she a Swedish fashion model before they started in the hotel business)
I've also read that they are opening an eco resort on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean....it will be great to be able to visit one of their resorts without the long flight to Asia!

Cruisinred - thanks to you for encouraging me to stay at this fabulous resort! I was a bit daunted by the price, but found it to be well worth it. Blogs and pictures to follow, once I can get my husband the photographer to finish his edits.
The Soneva resorts sound amazing and wonderful. They are definitely high on my list of future trips. What a wonderful anniversary trip! And LL has had some great deals to both, so hopefully you can take advantage.
