Hey -I just found out that the BBC offers online language classes FREE of charge. This is great news for the LL community of world travelers. Languages familiar and obscure are offered : French, German, Portugese, Mandarin,Greek etc. Find out more from www.bbc.co.uk/languages or www.frenchpodclass.com Now we can know so much more than how to order a glass of wine or where is the bathroom or what time is it - the weather etc. If anyone knows of other interesting online classes = especially free ones ie cooking specialities Please let me know ...Funtimes

22go Your kids will be well traveled and well spoken in the language Can't you go along? How old are your kids? Do you live in Europe where I understand a month of study can be a regular occurance and vacation time starts at 6 weeks? That is why I'm taking some time off now - it is so difficult to negotiate vacation time in the US. Hope your kids have a wonderful time ...Fintimes
