thanks for the heads up regarding the sale on Frommer's books. I've got a couple I'm in need of - I'm thinking about taking my daughter and her friend down to New Orleans for a couple of days, and my books are totally out of date - it will be interesting to see what is now written about New Orleans post Katrina.

Glad to be of assistance. I've found the Frommer's guides to be quite informative. I haven't been to New Orleans since around 1988, so it's been a very long time. I still remember drinking Hurricanes while waiting in line to eat at Galatoire's. After waiting for an hour and a half to be seated, the waiter told us that they were out of almost everything and that they had only two entrees. We were tempted to leave, but after such a long wait, we decided to stay. Bad move. It was by far the worst dinner that we've ever had in a nice restaurant. Have a great trip!

Thanks for the info, though it would have been better if I heard of the sale a bit earlier. I already purchased Paris, Italy, and London 2008 a few days ago. I'll go and see if I'll be needing some of the other books so I can take advantage of the sale.
