Re: Getting what I want when I want, the way I want it, so I could maybe go somewhere
I hear ya on the "too" factor, 10carat!
I also like NArita but haven't done the shrine, touring yet. We stayed in the PanPac and in town Radisson (wow--that's weird long shuttle into a real local town.)
My fave is the PanPac hotel bar on the 11th floor--an old western style lounge where the bartender taps ice chunks off a block and pours each item with care and precision to make an actual cocktai!
You can watch the jumbo jets float in and outon runways the seem right next door. When it's foggy it's truly ethereal...
Have you tried to use DL miles on NW? They have all the ASia service anyway (for now!)
PS--I am so totally with you on coach 7 hrs plus--I'm a big brat and I've turned down free trips with my pilot husband if the standby seat count didn't look good for business class. I'm deciding on short layover in Brussels next week...
Good luck with the "class warfare" for seats!"wherever you go, there you are"

My darling,
Do you imagine I have not got a chart of every freakin' partner of DL and what kind of seat they've got in biz? I'm partial to the full recline, baby. So NW, um, not my target airline. FLAT! WE WANT FLAT! I 've made a complete study of this worthless arena down to the splitting of hairs. I know every g-d routing of every crappy airline and its safety record. I'm a tormented flyer. I do not like being up there. I do not fancy my fellow travelers who wear too much perfume, barf in the gutters of the loo, call out for a physician while flying over Kabul and an emergency stop seems imminent. Not here? Maybe Iran. Oh, and I adore 3 am departures from third world airports. I like to be where I can't read the signs and every insect is a possible carrier of something really unpleasant. Why do I go, you ask? I'm not sure anymore. It's in my DNA, I guess: SEE THE WORLD. GO WHERE THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF MICKEY MOUSE! Anyhow, I've got my two little seats in first class, dammit, on SQ, not on the same day of course. I will call all the time til departure and see what a little change fee may bring. I will check out your favorite bar in TYO. Got any suggestions for a week in Beijing? I'm gonna see the wall, but I'm not tramping all over the country I don't think. Car and driver. Let's see the pearls! Maybe I'll change my mind and do Xian. Oct. trip. I wish I were going somewhere tomorrow, a cut rate spa so I could cut off some pounds. Mercy me, I'm such a snob and a princess.

Flat beds? Well, I guess that is a totally different scenario. You didn't happen to mention that in any of your other posts. Flat beds limit your airline choices to how few? Which, in turn, limits how many total available seats per destination? Are you a real person or are you a joke? I'm certain I don't wish to be greeted as your "darling" and I personally don't care much for your implied expletives. Thanks for the constructive information you've shared and hope you'll continue to offer something significant in the future.

oh, yeah--there are some cut-rate spas in some third-world countries like Cambodia, Thailand, and Bali, but that would entail finding suitable flat-bed flights to get you there. If you eat enough of the local street cuisine, I bet you'd shed some pounds really fast. Wouldn't be my preference to lose weight.
