Hey mary-j
Got my VIP certificate on Jan.10 also. A great reward for our contributions to the LL Community to the end of 2006.
Now we have a whole year to decide on how to use it for travel offered on LL.

Re: gift vouchers
Hey daldocThanx. As a viper, I sure will put the LL Community certificate to very good use. Am now researching two trips for this year. One to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris this spring with my wife. And, another, this fall, to the Canadian Rockies (Lake Louise, Jasper, etc.). Luckily, Ll has some amazing auctions and 'buy now' properties/resorts in both of these areas of the world.curtiejoe

Re: gift vouchers
I tried to look through the rules covering the $500 certificates asI was trying to find out if there was a minimum spend when using the certificate but could not find anything about that on them. It is just that I found an auction of The Fortress for$535as thehighest bid, which closes today and It made me think that I could bid for it and ifI won, then I would virtually be staying there for free ifI was allowed to use my certificate. Does anyone know what the rule for this is? Thanks.

Re: gift vouchers
hi VIPmary-jOne of the first lines on my $500 VIP Certificate states: "This gift certificate may be applied toward the purchase of any travel product offered for sale on the LuxuryLink.com website."The way I read this is that we can use it toward any auction, any "Buy Now", or any other travel item offered on the LL site irregardless of the price. So, in your case, you could have picked up The Fortress for $535 (if that was the winning bid) and paid only $35 after surrendering your VIP Certificate. If this is not so, I'd appreciate it if the LL Community Moderators would set us straight.curtiejoe
