Got a look at the Lodge at Woodloch in hawley, PA

So we have been looking into buying a property in upstate PA - the prices for homes are excellent these days due to the economy!
One of the areas we are looking at is Hawley, PA and happened to pass this place on LL

I have to say the Lodge at Woodloch looks pretty amazing - we did not have time to go in and look around - if the package on LL had a lower price I would certainly go for it, however, almost $2000 for 3 nights is pretty steep no matter how nice the place is!

Just got back from Lodge at Woodloch - it was AMAZING! The service level is the best I've encountered in awhile even at other 5 star hotels. It's great too that gratuity and all food, which is delicious but not guilt-inducing, is included in the LL package, which seems to have dropped in price since it's only $1400 for 3 nights now. Totally worth it. I feel pampered and relaxed and I can't wait to get back there. I highly recommend it as either a couple or a girlfriends' getaway.

I think it is still too high for 3 nights - what really warrants approximately $460 a night - in Pennsylvania no less and I live in PA!

Yep--I'm with you DH!
I have to say, I'd much rather spend that kind of dough on an all-inclusive safari--2 game drives, 3 meals and high tea each day--house wine, laundry AND 3 nts in a luxury 1000 sq ft South African chalet, indoor/outdoor showers, bath and private lap pool---nearly the SAME price!

Hi Beneck...another PA resident here....please do share your experience!!! Would love to have a great place in PA but it is so pricey!
