Great Travel Contest From Delta

Looks like the two remaining SiteSeer Challenge teams are headed for Dubai for their last video. Should be interesting for those of us who have never traveled to this exotic destination (although the thought of that distance for a two day stay seems a bit much). Also, for those playing the game, another opportunity to pick up 250 additional SkyMiles.

Just FYI to Delta fans--the following airlines have just joined the SkyTeam:
Air Europa (Spain-based)
Copa (Panama)
Kenya Airways
This may add some miles/flights to your FF accounts, as well as get you to more places, more conveniently!

kyshel and omegaet, I really hated to see this Delta contest end. I watched all of the travel videos and scored 1,000 miles, 250 miles for each video,plus and additional 1,000 miles for participating in all of the contests. I bet the Waterfalls win, just because they represent the profile of the leisure traveler Delta would like to see.

I voted for the Waterfalls because of their final video closing comment--"this is the best time of our lives" Well, bless their hearts--I hope they travel on and on!
I adored the bros--they were so exhuberant (sp? exuberent?) well, enthusiastic! but they're young and probably heavily favored, but what do I know? They did have some of the funniest video bits. I like Mrs. Waterfall with "there he goes again!" from the last trip.
I'm sure Delta will do something similar or maybe a repeat contest, since it was so successful! There's a new head of marketing, so, if I hear anything, I'll pass it on asap.

t-2-f & kyshel.....Deltas SITESEER contest appears to have been successful (although we never know what benchmarks they are evaluating).and they definitely generated some buzz when you look at their blog section with221 threads and more than 3,500 messages.and likely some of the ideas and suggestions will be considered or at least discussed by Delta management.



At the end of the day, a few thousand SkyMiles mean nothing to Delta and yet are perceived to be important enough to so many of us individually, to keep us coming back again and again (we appreciate the 2,000 miles being deposited into our accounts), willing to be subjected to blatant advertising (a couple of the destinations looked interesting to us).



No reason to believe Delta will not do something like this again in the not-to-distant future.
