I think this may be something new that was rolled out when they began the community in the fall. Did anyone see it mentioned previously?
I believe it's been here from the beginning - I've definitely been entering for years now!

The quarterly trips have been on board for as long as I have been involved in LL...and I enter all the time...no win yet but I know I won't win if I don't enter. Hopefully (I'm an optimist) I'll get lucky soon! Maybe the LL folks could give us some feedback beyond the winner...like the number of entries and if our odds of winning increase with multiple quarterly entries. Cheers...Marolyn
Sorry folks, I'm thinking of something else. It apears that there will be another free trip awarded to one of the LL VIPs. This is noted in the info. about the community and the benefits of attaining VIP status:
* Automatic Entry into a Private Contest
o Every 6 months a winner will be selected from this small group
o The winner will receive a trip for two courtesy of Luxury Link

They are really out to spoilyou allin theLLVIP group! What do you think the criteria for that will be? Can it be the amount of posts...the quality of posts...How many threads you started...How long you wereon LL Community...or just a random choice? So many questions go through our heads when it comes to these things.

Good questions! So far there has been only one round of VIP selections, so we don't have a long history. I'm certain the selection is not random. Indications have been that it is based on overall contribution to the community. So quantity of posts alone is not a meaningful indicator. I think all particpants have an equal chance, not only those that have been here the longest.

At the launch of the Community Luxury Link chose to select the top 10% of Community contributors and award them with "VIP Contributor" status. As the Community grew we decided not to limit the award to 10%, but to allow flexibility based on all of our user's Community participation each quarter.
