Has anyone had problems at Lebua, Bangkok???

Recently bought our 2nd package from LL at Lebau in Bangkok because our first visit was excellent, but our 2nd visit was very disappointing...the hotel room is well appointed but they have balconies that you can't access and the staff on check out are bad. Our package included dinner for 2 at their fine dining and we had to sit thru a set menu, which was very disappointing, a lot has changed since our first visit. Great to go for a drink at the Sky Bar - they used to have dress restrictions but now they let backpackers in!!! Their Sirocco Restaurant is wonderful, great Italian food - for Asia!!

Sorry to hear about your disappointing stay at Lebua in Bangkok.

I've only been to the sky bar for drinks/appetizers. I found the view to be great, but the drinks were very pricey (I'm from NYC so I know pricey cocktails!) the food was the worst we had while in Bangkok, and the service was very snotty. Based on my brief visit, I would definitely consider any of the other top end hotels in Bangkok renowned for their warm, friendly Thai service rather than the Lebua. Just my opinion......
