While going through the Hot Deals auction page, I came across one of the auctions as a RED HOT AUCTION! Is this new or have there been these auctions previously?I have never seen one before? It is for a Seven Seas cruise.

mary-j....in the case of cruises, RED HOT DEALS, probably translates to slow sales and light passenger loadsfor that particular sailing date. Nothing is more perishable than empty airplane seats, vacant cruise ship cabins and empty hotel rooms....better to sell at a reduced price, than notsell at all! RED HOT DEALS may become more prevalent in several areas on LL.

For me a RED HOT DEAL would be an even better bargain than we usually see on LL. Prices usually start at 1/2 the rack rates; I'd like to see even deeper discounts to begin an auction. What has been a great deal could become a really great deal on LL. Cheers...Marolyn

That cruise was offered to air line employees thru some fo our interline agencies, too. I guess it was difficult to fill?

We recently had April 30 th SeaDream offering 14 nights transatlantic barbados/spain for less than $1200 pax/all-inclusive grats, etc. I had no one avail to go---WAHHHHHHH!

Think I'll watch for the RED ones, too--thanks for the tip.

Kyshel - No one available to go OUCH!!! It is too bad that some of the regular LL community do not know one another better - perhaps we would always have travel fans available to buddy trip along. When are the 1st LL community events anyway? LOVE the new red hot auction items - this will definitely keep me tuned in more frequently...Funtimes

Lately, the Red Hot Auctions have had some of the best prices---my opinion. Unfortunately, I really haven't been captivated by the locations---but that will probably change in time. I hope luxury continues to explore the possibilities with future offerings.

Have been using LL for a few years but have never come into the message community. I am enjoying the information.



Question: I do not recall ever recieving an email regarding the $1 mystery auctions and would like to bid on the current auction, North American Rustic Luxury. Is there any way to open up the bidding panel other than through the origianal email?

I think the $1 auctions are all thru the blaster link, so if you don't receive the email, you can't access it. The red hot auctions are on the main page. I had a bit of difficulty getting my email notices [a while back] but that has since been resolved. Hope it works for you this week--A few words of caution--"LL auctions can be addictive"...
oh-and the nice part is that if you open the link for mystery auctions, LL gives us the location [after-the-fact] but not the exact property, so the mystery remains....sorta (only if you can't figure it out from the clues and member guesses!)
So, welcome but don't bid against me, ok? please?
