How about a Luxury Link Frequent Buyer Program?

Jsattapr2 posted a question about hotel loyalty programs, and it got me to thinking about a Luxury Link frequent buyer program.

What does the community think about this idea? How about the Luxury Link administrators?

Not that we need an incentive to keep buying these great deals, but it would be really nice and Luxury Link might generate more sales. Something to think about.

I like the idea, however, since I purchased 3 LL packages and combined them together for my trip in March - I did not get any loyalty from LL - no more VIP status, very slow response time to my emails, no answers to my questions about the community postings. So I am beginning to wonder

Actually, this prior thread was dealing with a laundry list of suggestions, one of which was a Luxury Link credit cards, which would build up loyalty points or credits toward future travel with Luxury Link. Jono Hart (now departed from the company) was the moderator at the time of this thread and had encouraged ideas and suggestions from community members. Some of the ideas were instituted, but the credit card/loyalty program never made the cut.

Hi Community,

Loyalty programs for our members is something that has always been discussed at LL. However, for one reason or another, it has never been installed. I will pass along the message that our members are continuing to ask, and because of the interest, it may be something that can be pushed ahead.

As far as VIP status goes - Once a VIP, always a VIP. People may not be eligible for the VIP gift certificate for one or two quarters, depending on their participation and the participation of others in the Community. However, don't think that you are off our radar or won't be included in - non-gift certificate related - VIP news emails.

Your membership and loyalty to LL is always deeply appreciated. I wish there were more ways for us to show your our appreciation, but I will definitely keep you posted if anything comes about.

The only emails I ever get are "spam" emails from LL partners. I have subscribed and participated in various lists in the community and checked the box to send me an email when a reply is posted and I never get the email. As to the certificates - I suspect that the more you buy the better your chance of getting a certificate. My posting may be down a bit but not significantly - I asked what the criteria was for the certificates and finally received an email about the "quality of the postings" -so i asked for some guidelines, what constitutes "quality", etc. and no response

[email protected], don't take "quality of the postings" personally. I've been awarded certificates during the past and then "passed over" for a couple of quarters, then awarded a certificate again. I'm not a big time buyer from LL, but I am a regular visitor and participate in the community whenever possible or I see a posting of interest. So, certificates or not, I still enjoy the VIP Community.

btw - I like reading the stuff you publish. Keep up the good work.
