Human Planet . . . An Amazing T.V. Show
Has anyone been watching Human Planet on The Discovery Channel? I just discovered the show and it's incredible. Beautiful cinematography and amazing stories from all parts of the world. It's a must-see show for anyone who is interested in exploring some of the lesser known facets of our planet. One recent episode showed a Mongolian boy reaching adulthood by stealing an eaglet and training it how to hunt a fox. The same episode features a Swiss avalanche expert who deliberately sets off avalanches to protect people from unexpected ones. Also in that episode, the cinematographers film a Tibetan funeral where the dead are carried away from the village and are left to the vultures. Incredible stuff.

I Germany we do not get the Discovery Channel and the Human Planet Show you are talking about, but they have similar programs in which the scenery, the subjects, the stories and photography are just outstanding. I love to watch them. Much more interesting than watching red paint dry.... just teasing you....

You might be able to watch it on Hulu on your computer. It's really worth watching.
