Tuesday 7:15 am - made it through the storm with all our power - yippee! Heavy winds all night long and still today - so weird hearing the wind howl. Many others not as lucky. Some trees down in the neighborhood and throughout the city. Philadelphia made it through so much better than NYC, NJ, DE, MD and all that snow in WVa - wow!
3 deaths reported in PA and 3 in NJ - I believe NY also has some deaths.
BJ - hope the power comes on soon for you out there in the heartland of PA!
Still no public transportation in Philly - back to work on Wednesday. Really, really looking forward to leaving for Costa Rica in a few days!Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

10-30-2012, 05:03 AMWe did not lose power, unlike 55,000 others in the city of Toronto. One woman was killed at 7:30 pm last night when flying debris from a Staples sign hit her in the head as she was walking down the street. She died instantly...so very sad. The wind had reached 65 km/h when the sign broke, however, the really intense gusts would get a lot worse by midnight and were closer to 90 km/h around the city. Lots of fallen branches and trees everywhere.
Though it is cool and moderately windy this morning, things are a lot calmer.
