I would echo the vote for The Caves in Jamaica. My husband and I have been to this unique all-inclusive destination 2 times. And this says a lot as we try not to repeat our trips in an effort to always try something new. In fact, it was at The Caves that we were introduced to Luxury Link by a couple who had purchased their visit on LL. They are managed/owned by Island Outpost and they have other properties in Jamaica as well (in case you want to visit more than one location).
The Caves is not your typical all-inclusive resort. It is small, boutique-like and private -- perfect for honeymooning.
The only down-side is that it is so wonderful that you won't want to ever leave the resort.
Congratulations. Hope you have a great honeymoon.

Bequia and Mustique in the Grenadinesare different and not as many people. Are you looking for nightlife, casinos, shopping? This might help narrow down the choices.

I'm looking for pure relaxation, new or modern rooms, and an island with a friendly town and good food...I saw on LL a place called Spice Island, I was wondering if anyone has been there and what they thought ?

Hi. A friend stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed it. Have you thought about one of the island resorts such as Peter Island, Biras Creek (not really on an island), Palm Island, Cotton House? They are all very nice. Good food, small amount of people, great staff, etc. This would be move private.

Re: I'm looking for a honeymoon destination in the carribean...
Enewseven, how are you getting on with choosing your honeymoon? I previously mentioned the "caves" in Jamaica and wondered what you thought of it? Is that the type of place you are looking for? If it is something like that you are interested in, then you should check out the other resorts owned by the people who own The caves. I think all of them would be really special for a honeymoon. Have a look at their resorts on their website and most have virtual tours and lots of photo's. Their website is..www.islandoutpost.com. Some very unique properties and perfect for a honeymoon. Hope that helps. Let us know where you finally decide on. Good luck!

Hi Mary J,
Thanks for the tips, I have not booked any thing yet and I tried that website you gave me but it's still "under construction". The Caves looks great however we were recently in Jamaica not too long ago, we want to try somewhere new. I've been looking at St. Lucia and Anguilla as well as some others, this is a tough decision to make but a fun one at the same time !!!

If you want to expereince real island life and not just a resort itself try St. Marteen and the La Samana (often on LL, we went on a LL package).
Great local restaurants, people views, etc...
My son and his wife recently went to Nevis--challenge to make air connections.

I wanted to add a little info to lhbrown's message on Cocobay Resort. I stayed there 1 day before going to Curtain Bluff, at the end of October beginning of November. I agree with what Lhbrown has to say about the resort, but I would add a few things. We were in Antigua during a hot- humid time but there is no air conditioning at Cocobay. There is a ceiling and floor fan, but you are also advised by the staff to keep your doors closed at night, due to the bugs and wildlife, so it can be very uncomfortable sleeping. I also learned that netting over the bed isn't for romance, and isn't the easiest to sleep with. The cottages are on the hillside so you get more "nature" feel than staying at a resort on the ocean. I initially thought they were piping in rain forest noises as we slept, but later realized it was the creatures/bugs out there. My husband would love to go back but I had a hard time with the "nature". We also had a larger geiko/ lizzard living on the porch that my husband named Freddy, that was there for most of our day stay. I don't say this to deter from the resort, but just make you aware encase you might be like me. Perhaps if I had stayed longer I would have grown use to it, but I prefer the beach living. On a positive note they have a great infinity pool, and we had a great romantic dinner during our stay.

Thank you very much for that info, you may have saved me from a very uncomfortable honeymoon as my fiancee is very particular about the problem you had experienced. I have started to look into some other places, that are maybe a little more modern or recently updated and less rustic. I do like lizzards....but not in my bed LOL !!!
