oops, I didn't read all the messages so I didn't realize you had already picked one. Actually, CoveCastles in Anguilla is great, too. Cotton House, also, very nice. Enjoy - I'm sure you will. It looks beautiful.

Hi Clancyfox2:
Thank you ! We looked at CoveCastles and really loved that property, the only thing was that there was no pool available for the regular rooms there, only for the 5 bdrm house. However that is on our list for a future vacation.

Hi enewseven
Great destination for a honeymoon St.Lucia, and The Jade Mountain Resort really seems like a winner. Is that a private pool we see in that picture? I'm sure that all your hard work and research for the perfect place will pay off. The only thing left now is to wish you both a very long and happy life together.

Hi two2go:
Thank you for your warm wishes ! The Jade Mountain looks great, it is very new and yes, each room has a swim out infinity pool that overlooks the Pitons (volcanos). The good news isLL has this property in their portfolio for a great deal too...I'll give the full report on this place when we return from our trip (in the spring).

Re: I'm looking for a honeymoon destination in the carribean...
Hi enewseven
We were away for the week-end in Quebec City. At supper one night we had a conversation with the couple next to us because they over heard us talking about travel. They too are getting married this summer, and have decided to spend their honeymoon at The Jade Mountain Resort. They were also very excited about their find, but the only thing they were not sure of was a missing wall to their suite.I thought of you right away, I'm almostsure that you are aware of this, but just in case you're not I'm mentioning it.

Hi Two2go,
Thanks for keeping me in mind. We are very much aware of the missing wall which is what makes this resort so unique. The missing wall actually views the "Pitons" or volcano's of St. Lucia. This allows the rooms private pool to swim out to the balcony to the magnificent view. There was actually a great article in Caribbean magazine with Jade Mountain Featured on the cover. If you are still in touch with these people you met tell them to read that article, it's very informative and will definitely put their mid at ease for their honeymoon !

Hi E
I think that you have made a great choice. It is already several times that we were having a conversation with friends & this place has come up. Everyone seems to be talking about it.You see what a great forum this LL Community is, if it were not for you, and research I would have not known about this fabulous resort. By the way we didn't exchange any personal information on the week-end, so I can't contact them about the article, but I will look it up, and looking forward to your review when you get back.

What a deal! I was just taking some down time at work and, by chance, happened upon this website www,luxurylink.com! The reason why I was browzzzing was for my wedding destination which is going to be in St. Lucia or that is what we were thinking! It will be the second marriage for my fiance and myself so we want it to be very special and just the two of us (private). So we were thinking St. Lucia. Nowon todeciding on where to stay. We too have thought of Jade Mountain but wondered how private it would be and if the suite has a kitchen ? air conditioning ?We are also considering Oasis Marigot and staying in one of their privatevillas (Emerald Hill Villa or The Great House). If anyone has had any experience with either of these destinations or has a suggestion as to a unique, private and beautiful (well accommodated) place I would love to hear from you. Iam so excited for you E!!

Re: I'm looking for a honeymoon destination in the carribean...
Hi CJ,
Thank you for your warm wishes. I've done extensive research on St. Lucia and yes, The Jade Mountain Spa looks wonderful and we are very excited about it, there are also many other beautiful places we also considered. One place that comes to mind is a magnificent secluded villa property is www.stonefieldvillas.com. Take a look at this place, I hear that the location and the views here are breathtaking, just look at the photos on the website.
I've also read many reviews about their restaurant The Mango Tree, which we have already made plans to dine while we're there.
Hope this helps.
E
