International Flights - ever use Webjet.com or AtCostFlights.com?
Looking to bid on a LL package in Europe. Started checking fares for June and almost choked. Yikes! Anyway, somehow in my searching, I came across 2 web sites for international flights that I've not seen before - webjet.com & atcostflights.com. Have you heard of - or used either one?
Or have you used BestFares.com?
Since I posted, I went over the the flyertalk website doing searches for these 2 sites. Positive posts came up for webjet. Only 1 post came up for atcostflights, a negative one. You'll notice that the atcostflights site shows very attractive fares, but you must call to book. That may be a red flag. A person on flyertalk did not have a good experience with the phone rep and ended up getting charged $500 more than expected. I don't know about you, but I usually prefer to do the searching & booking myself online seeing availability and the real prices with my own eyes.
Atcostflights kind of reminds me of bestfares.com. Ever use them? I tried for a couple of years initially. You had to pay an annual membership fee which I did for 2 years. Never booked anything with them. They showed attractive fares online but to book, you had to call. When you called, those attractive fares were never available, only other higher fares. I haven't tried using them for a number of years.
I just checked & see they are still online. You can be a member for just $59 a year! Plus it was an automatic renewal so if you weren't careful, you got stuck with another worthless renewal. But now it looks like they at least have an online booking engine. I never had any good luck with them. Anybody use them lately?
