International Flights - ever use Webjet.com or AtCostFlights.com?
Looking to bid on a LL package in Europe. Started checking fares for June and almost choked. Yikes! Anyway, somehow in my searching, I came across 2 web sites for international flights that I've not seen before - webjet.com & atcostflights.com. Have you heard of - or used either one?

I was impressed with atcostflights.com low cost flights on regular airlines. It's something to keep in mind when we next book flights to Europe.
bonniejoy03, if you haven't booked your flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm yet, you should look at this site.
jmbklj, Thanks for sharing this site with us.

Or have you used BestFares.com?
Since I posted, I went over the the flyertalk website doing searches for these 2 sites. Positive posts came up for webjet. Only 1 post came up for atcostflights, a negative one. You'll notice that the atcostflights site shows very attractive fares, but you must call to book. That may be a red flag. A person on flyertalk did not have a good experience with the phone rep and ended up getting charged $500 more than expected. I don't know about you, but I usually prefer to do the searching & booking myself online seeing availability and the real prices with my own eyes.
Atcostflights kind of reminds me of bestfares.com. Ever use them? I tried for a couple of years initially. You had to pay an annual membership fee which I did for 2 years. Never booked anything with them. They showed attractive fares online but to book, you had to call. When you called, those attractive fares were never available, only other higher fares. I haven't tried using them for a number of years.
I just checked & see they are still online. You can be a member for just $59 a year! Plus it was an automatic renewal so if you weren't careful, you got stuck with another worthless renewal. But now it looks like they at least have an online booking engine. I never had any good luck with them. Anybody use them lately?

I usually end up booking through the airlines own web site and find for the most part, they offer better fares than any of the online sites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc. Although, I just joined AARP and got really good fares on AeroMexico for my internal Mexican flights, however, their fares for my international flights were still much higher than Continental's own site. What kills you is the fees - $105 alone for the "fuel surcharge" which leads me too....... if you are paying for fuel surcharges, buying food, checking bags, exit row seats (what's up with that - the exit row seats are supposed to be for folks that are stong and healthy enough to open the emergency door when warranted - so if some old lady or mom with kids books these seats - how does that work!) so with all these fees, I still want to know what exactly are you getting these days when you fly - no free movies or radio anymore, no snacks, get hit on the head by all the folks carrying multiple carry on bags and I could go on......
