Has anyone tried this website? Any thoughts? How does it compare to Vacationist?

This probably isn't the best place to discuss Jetsetter.com but I do follow their sales. I think their site has good photography. It's quite comparable and looks similar to vacationist. I have never actually bought anything from either jetsetter.com or vacationist (yet) so can't speak to the differencesor benefits of each.

Re: Jetsetter.com
agpatters...I follow jetsetter.com and have compared their prices for their offerings for several months.I have yet to see a deal that makes good sense, at least to me.
For example, they are offer a package to Tierra Atacama in Chile right now. I have stayed at the this property and it is fantastic and expensive.....but you can book directly with Tierra Atacama or with one of their agents directly out of Santiago (they have toll-free numbers for the US) and you can get a better price (you have to 'push' a little but there is flexibility. When you book direct, theymay includea "bonus" night at a top hotel in Santiago (you typically need a night there to make international flight connections.
Actually the Awasi package here on LuxuryLink is a better deal than what jetsetter.com is offering for Tierra Atacama.
As for vacationist.com, the juror is still out on their deals...too early to make a judgment (at least for me).
Just my opinion and my experiences.- Ω -

jetsetter has a lot of hotels participating. i can't really comment on their deals because i haven't looked at them closely.
consumer can't lose with more choices and competition!

Re: Jetsetter.com
michael_choe_ll.......I just looked at the "special member price" of thePunta Islita offer today on TableHotels.com and compared it to a four night LL auction package. Apples to apples....the LL offer comes out better....lower price and more perks. Competition doesn't always= lower prices!
Consumers still need to shop and compare on their own.- Ω -
