Just Back from Virgin Gorda!
We just returned from 9 wonderful days in Virgin Gorda. Flights down via USAir were HORRIBLE. (how can you have some passengers board a plane and then determine its time for "scheduleded maintenance!" After arriving late and paying a penalty on Air Sunshine (charter company that I would highly recommend flying in the BVI's.), we arrived to beautiful weather and a super time. On this trip, we explored the island by snorkelling our way from each beach! We also went out on Double D Charters to Anegada for a day trip. PERFECT sailing day and great company. I hate to share my secrets with all, but VG is wonderful if you are looking for a complete getaway away from lots of people. September is a great time as even the locals will tell you. But, as I posted in a previous blog, the signs of development and change are coming soon. There are a few "resorts" scheduled or on the drawing board. A recent change in government might or might not favor some of these changes. If you are interested in more info on the BVI's I would love to help!!!

Re: Just Back from Virgin Gorda!
welcome back, Bonniejoy03. are WE jealous?? you betcha!
not to belabor the air thing, but where did you connect, etc? I want to ck on air sunshine later for future service.
So, if you can stop reapplying the after-tan lotions (and stop day-dreaming) long enough to add more info, let us know.
PS--the day-dreaming is the second best part of a trip, isn't it?"wherever you go, there you are"

Re: Just Back from Virgin Gorda!
Hi Kyshel! Well, heading back to work today. The dream is shattered! At least I am already booking VG for next year!
OK...the air situation: Flew from Harrisburg to Philly. (no problems.) Problems occured from Philly to San Juan. I heard from others that USAir consolidates flights THE DAY OF THE FLIGHT! Air Sunshine is very good to work with but I think next time we will pad on more connection time. (I thought 3 hours should be sufficient!) It was funny that we saw a special with Peter Greenberg (travel specialist on TV) and how he shook me up with all of his worries about travel Labor Day weekend and travel in general.....Guess what...he was right!

Re: Just Back from Virgin Gorda!
Welcome Home! Sounds likea great trip! It's funny because I fly USAir all the time and never had a problem and every time I try to fly American it's a disaster. I think the bottom line is that the airlines just really have no respect for the passengers any more - I just read that complaints are at an all time high. Doesn't seem like it will change any time soon either. Shame.

Re: Just Back from Virgin Gorda!
100% agree. We also always flew American but felt service was down. Our situation is that we live in a small town in Central Pennsylvania. USair has great connections without us having to originate from a larger city. We save the overnight cost of a hotel and the higher parking costs. I really agree that it is all airlines! We always hope that our small community would receive more choices of airlines and better connection cities.

bonniejoy03, of course you should post your photos and update your blog. This community continues to grow and it takes time to visit every thread.

Here is one lookingfrom the road to Mahoe Bay. (love the area!) The other one is my famous handstand at The Baths. (yes, I have a photo of me on every beach doing this infamous pose. Getting a little too old but will still keep it going. This only took about 3 trys!)

Bonniejoy, are you a yogi? What made you decide to start taking a handstand picture at every beach? Gorgeous beach, by the way!
