Just a general question, I'm thinking of bidding for a Pa...
Just a general question, I'm thinking of bidding for a Paris hotel package, but I've booked my tickets already for the end of November/early December time frame, does anyone generally have any problems getting the dates they want to use the package? I don't want to bid on a package when I can't get thepackage for the travel dates (the tickets were a great deal and had to be purchased within 24 hours). Any insight or tips would be helpful too. Thanks.

Hi Achouleung
Welcome to the LL Community! The best thing to dois take the time & call the hotel directly, explain to them that you are interested in purchasing a package from LL and ask themto verify the dates needed. I always call the hotel before purchasing a package from LL. Hope this helps,

After following two2go's advice, consider a package that's one day less than your total stay to be flexible. You can add another hotel from LL a la carte or arrange for an additional night through the property. You may wish to stay near the airport for your last night (pending traffic--it can be beastly in Paris!) My last taxi from Eiffel are to CDG was 50 euros [ouch].
Keep us posted and share your trip with us later, s'il vous plait.

Hi,
I agree with the above advise on calling or e-mailing the LL package hotel to check dates and inform them of your attention of bidding on LL package. Another option would be to consider the Hilton Hotel Eiffel. We have booked friends there and they got a very reasonable promotional rate and they were very happy there. The rooms were nice and spacious with a view of the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero, American breakfast was included in the room rate and it is right by the Eiffel Tower and the bus line 82 that thakes you to Luxembourg Gardens and the RER that takes you to Versailles or St. Michel and Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter. The Hilton Hotel is a good alternative to the LL packages for Paris which are very pricey.

Hello LH Thanks for the Hilton suggestion. I've been looking for a Paris LL package ever since you reccommended that we extend our Austria trip to start in Paris. This is a great suggestion as an alternative to LL . This way we can plan our travel dates well in advance - continue to search LL properties and have a back up plan as well. I wish more LL packages - especially in Europe had longer validity dates. The Hotel Gunner Baum in Bad Gastien Austria has a valid date until June of 2008. The longer validity date allows us to plan in advance and extend our stay with more reasonable rates. How about it LL - Can you give us more properties with longer valid dates??? Funtimes

Dear achouleung and Community Members,
We like the suggestion of longer validity dates and will discuss further with our packaging department.
Thank you,
