Just saying Hi!

Hi there,

It has been years since I last posted here and I just wanted to say hi to the long-time posters I used to interact with frequently. Two kids and what feels like a lifetime later, I have been sniffing around the forums trying to get some information on an upcoming trip to Bali. After several years of some fun adventures our travels the past few years have been more limited to child-friendly Hawaii and Mexico but this time our trip will be adults-only. Yay! Please take a look at my new post in the Asia forums and give me some advice if you've been there.

Hope everyone is doing well! Glad to see that things have continued along so well here in the LL Community! Oh and by the way I see a lot of questions about India and I have to admit I have been eyeing those awesome Oberoi hotel deals. We stayed at several Oberoi properties in Rajasthan several years ago and they were the most wonderful hotels we'd every visited. Also my favorite overall trip - I highly recommend trying it!

Welcome back my friend to the show that never ends. I'd like to provide some advice on Bali, but it's been twenty years since I've been there. I still remember being a little apprehensive about the monkeys in Monkey Forest. They jumped on our backs and I was afraid that they were going to bite us.

Welcome back. Two kids? Awsome, seems like yesterday to told us about your first baby. Glad to see you are finding time to take a look again at the LL Forum. We are still active, having moved from Paris to the German mountains. We are still biking to keep us fit and active. Not been to Bali or India yet, but we are beginning to eye an Oberoi Nile Cruise next Spring.

Hey, welcome back into the community. Must have been at least three or four years since you have been actively posting. Wonder how some of those old Luxury Link trips contributed to your family expansion? Just asking, but none of my business.

So great to hear from you familiar LL old "friends": thepiranha, LL_Travelfan, kyshel, omegaet and mountie! Wow, you all gave me a lot of great travel advice and information those years ago! So great to see that not much changes no matter how much time goes by. Mountie, I wish I could say that these two kiddos of mine came about in some fabulous LL locales but alas it was not to be. They sure are fun, but I am looking forward to the time when they are old enough to accompany us on some of the more exotic traveling we used to do. Until then, at least there are some excellent US and Mexico packages here on Luxury Link!
LL-Travelfan, the Oberoi Nile cruise is excellent! At least, it was when we did it on the Oberoi Philae several years ago. If I am correct, they have an all new much more fabulous and modern boat these days, I would imagine it is better than before. Sounds exciting! Also very interesting to hear about your move - I am sure it is gorgeous in the German mountains.
