Re: LABOR DAY -Last Summer Vacations!
mountie....hope you got your fishing done in the morning, since we've seen a lot of afternoon showers and even some heavy downpours sweeping in off the Atlantic.
Rather than leave town, we took advantage of some weekend specials, stayed local and even "spacated" two days at a beach front Westin....good stuff!- Ω -

Boy, am I boring! I stayed home with my wife and son, watched a couple of movies over the weekend, went for a nice bike ride today, and had some great dinners. I'll just have to live vacariously through the other travelers on the LL website.

Guess the Labor Day weekend travel wasn't too exotic most community members. We've had mostly nice weather down here in Key Largo, but of course, the afternoon scattered rains are normal for this time of year. I've decided to put the boat back in storage this afternoon, clean up the place and head back north first thing in the morning. I'll start looking at auction possibilities when I get home. I did notice Orient-Express is back on LL with offers in Peru. The packages seems a little pricey, but not completely off the charts.

Re: LABOR DAY -Last Summer Vacations!
Hi all...just returned from another wonderful trip to Virgin Gorda!!! Had Hurricane Erika in our way for two and a half days but other than that, survived and thrived!!! Met the owners of Aquamare (up for bid on LL.) Amazing property and great people!! The snorkelling in VG was amazing. Great squids, barracudas and lots of friendly turtles...what paradise. The best part is the jellies never found us! Heard they were very bad this year....back to reality for me!

Welcome back, Bonniejoy! Sounds like a fantastic trip. It looks like you spent a lot of time worrying about something that never happened. My wife does the same thing (LOL).

Re: LABOR DAY -Last Summer Vacations!
You are correct!! Worried more about jellies and instead had hurricane issues!! But, all in all, it is a fantastic destination. Can't wait for next year...oops...a few great trips before we head back.....boy, this work thing gets in the way! My first day back was chaotic!

Re: LABOR DAY -Last Summer Vacations!
Glad some folks had a great vacation over Labor Day - the hubby and I stayed home and painted the outside of the house - loads of fun! Did stay up late and caught up on my movie watching and reading - beautiful weather in Philly.
