LL To Employ Innovative Reservation/Communication Technology

This is an interesting innovationrecently announcedby LL to incorporate www.estara.com technology forimplementation by their client properties in 2008

We were first introduced to this technology last fall when we booked a brief stay at the Evian Resort & Spain France. Their web site uses this or a competitive technology, which enables a user to touch abutton on their site, open an information entry box, and enter a contact telephone number and language preference. Additionally, we were asked if we wanted an immediate call back or to specify a call back time frame. We entered immediate and almost instantaneously our phone rangit was a VOIP call from the main switchboard at the Evian Spa. The operator, speaking English, asked how she could assist or direct our call.

It was great, not waiting for an email exchange...just asking the questions and getting the answer....the switchboard even directed us to the Spa and we were able to book advance reservations for treatments.

Let's hope LLwill employthis system up for most if not all of the properties they will be representing in the future. If such is the case, we, as purchasers,can simplify and speed up the reservation and information gatheringprocess directly from the property.

Hello O,

Thanks for the heads-up -- this is very interesting technology, and it's great when it works (some companies I've tried to contact seem to have a permanent 'not online' sign on their links, and on some of the connections the sound quality is so poor that they're not very useful, but fortunately both problems aren't that common). Look forward to seeing this on LL in 2008!

Perhaps this is what Mountie was refering to in his post about big changes to LL in 2008. LL certainly is innovative.I just hope the inexpensive or value travel deals keep on coming. The Vip bonuses are a definite plus also, when trying to stretch your travel budget. O how do you always have these insights?...Funtimes

funtimes, I don't think we can credit omegaet with insight regarding the comingVOIP technology implementation by luxurylink. I think it's more a matter of omegaet reading the press releases listed under the ABOUT US heading. Isn't that correct omegaet?
