LL featuring Luxury Cars
Several years ago we rented a luxury car in Europe, and we loved it. One option we really enjoyed was the GPS system, it was so easy to get around. I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea to feature Luxury Cars at auction. Maybe not included in a travel package, because it would be less interesting for someone who does not need a car, but on it's own. What's your opinion?

Sounds like a good idea! Having a luxury suto contact in Europe would be very helpful, especially since we usually start in a major city but enjoy exploring the countryside nearby. How do you see the logistics working for this addition? Cheers...Marolyn

Hi Marolyn
Well the way I see it everytime we pick up a rental car in Europe, we always see a load of luxury cars un-used. The same goes for hotels;the rooms available to us arethose available during low season. Many timeswe hearabout people who pay for an economy car and get a luxury because there areno economy cars available. Why shouldn't car rental companies use LL for advertising purposes. Car rental companiescan be offered the same kind of advertising packages offeredtohotels.

hi marolyn & two2go
Better yet, why not have the rental of a luxury car

included in the LL package for a resort auction or "Best Buy"?!! That way, you'd be guaranteed a fabulous set of wheels

for the duration of your stay at the resort and not have to bother with renting a car either at the airport on arrival or through the resort itself. Seems to me a 'no brainer' and one that both companies that rent/lease luxury, high-end automobiles and LL would welcome as a synergistic solution for their luxury travel patrons.

I love your humor!Including it in a package would be one way of trying this idea, but I was thinking of making it a package on its own. A Luxury Car for a couple of weeks can easily run $1500. Now can you please find a few pictures with a regular luxury car, say a mercedes or jaguar. Something we wouldn't be afraid to drive.

Re: LL featuring Luxury Cars
Hi Curtiejoe,
A hotel and car package would be great for some of the more remote European properties which are out in the country -- cruising through little country lanes in a classic Morgan on the way to a stay at one of the country house hotels offered on LL would be brilliant. But the flexibility of having separate auctions is also appealing for those who can afford one but not two splurges.
Cheers,
Julian

I'm sure that my husband would just love that idea! To be able to rent an exotic luxury car while on vacation... that would just be the best!

hi two2go
Absolutely stupendously brilliant idea! As an ardent Formula 1 racing fan for years, I've watched the Monaco Grand Prix many a time with great interest and much envy. My dream would be to stay at a luxury hotel situated along the race course, rent a sleek red Ferrari and then take it for a spin along the very roads in Monaco
that the F! drivers compete on. WOW! And, if LL offered this as a package on an auction or "Best Buy", I'd be delighted and bid like crazy.
