Luxury Link Credit Card
I have made a couple of suggestions or requests to LuxuryLink to consider establishing a LuxuryLink Credit Card. I would consider acquiring and using LL credit card to build up points toward redemption of special offers through LL. I use certain types of credit cards presently, that develop air miles, hotel stay points, etc., etc. I know there are enough LL Community Members to set up a program like this with one or more of the major credit card companies. Anyone have an opinion?

Hi O,
Sounds like a great idea. What did LL say to that? Did they give you an answer as to whether or not they would consider this?

lhb....no reply yet. I still see LL as a web site that has experienced unexpected growth and as a result, they are likely inundated with ideas and suggestions. However, I still want to continue to provide them with my thoughts and ideas (I guess I'm a bit selfish in that regard).

Yes, this would be a great idea. I think the only credit cards I have right now are ones that are linked to some type of travel awards, those are the only ones I sign up for when I get the offers. And They can even offer some type of sign up incentive like a credit toward the first purchase or something like that. What should we name it ?

yes I agree with you all totaly and maybe if L.L. see that there would be lots of interest in it then they may be more inclined to go ahead with the idea.I suppose what we need to do is to keep pestering them and let them know that we all think it is a good idea.

Re: Affinity Luxury Link Credit Card
How about LuxuryLife by LuxuryLink (VISA or MASTER CARD)? Every time we charge with the card, we accumulate points which can be redeemed for credit toward future LuxuryLink trips or toward the purchase of LuxeLife merchandise! I'll sign up for the card as soon as it is available and start building up my points!

That sounds like a catchy name. Great idea about it being useful in the LuxLife section as well. Hopefully they will expand that portion of the website in 2007. There are some really great deals on there !

I don't know about my choice of names, but I amconvinced the credit card is a good idea and can be a success for LL and the LL Community members. Just look at any airlines or hotel web site and you will see an affinity credit card offer.....they work and they build client loyalty.

Yes, and from what I understand about these types of credit card agreements, LL would benefit with a new revenue source as well. Credit card companies love to finance large ticket purchases. In addition it would make the transaction of a purchase more efficient for LL if it were done with a credit card they issued. We'll keep workin on a name in the meantime...

Re: Affinity Luxury Link Credit Card
Hi O and E,
Agree with you both. LL Credit Card would be a good idea. It would allow the user to accumulate points similar to the airlines frequent flyer cards. LL could give x number of points to sign up with and then give double points for every dollar spent on LL items and a point if used elsewhere. All my cards are linked to ff miles and these cards have had awfully good deals as of late. First year free plus 20,000 miles for AA Citibank cards. AMEX Delta SkyMiles - first year fee and 17500 miles. LL would have to come up with some really good incentives and low annual fee. United Mileage Plus, 20,000 and first year free. There is a lot of competition out there and LL might not necessarily want to get into the credit card game. Nonetheless, they should consider it and take some of our suggestions into advicement.
