09-28-2009, 11:31 AMMIAMI Mandarin Oriental - Any Other Bidders?
Greetings! I bid on a package for the Mandarin Oriental - 4 nights in a Dynasty Suite for $1,100. It includes b'fast and is a good deal. Only problem is that I bought this for my mom who no longer wants to go!
The auction ends tomorrow. I hope someone outbids me. (If there were any way to communiate w/other sellers, I would even kick in some of the cost!)
Otherwise, if I do end up w/the package, has anyone had luck selling their package to anyone else?
Thanks all,
Kay

kpinamine,
Why not call the headquarters of Luxury Link and explain your situation and ask them to contact joriel1 who has also been bidding in this auction. Jim Sanchez might be able to work with you to resolve the matter.

Actually, jsattapr2, that's a source of a little frustration right now. It's been over a week since I've heard from LL, despite checking in a couple times now. And it's been over 2 weeks since the end of the bid. I don't want to get anyone in trouble, and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. So maybe they're having some kind of technical issues or something...I'll keep you updated.
Meanwhile, Judging by the number of posts you've made, it seems like you're very happy with LL. Any advice on how I should handle this?
Thanks.

kpinamine,
Why don't you send a message to the others that bid on the package to see if they would want to work out something with you? You can pull their screen names up on the package bidding history. Just click on their screen name to access them and send them a direct message from you.
Unfortunately, this is why you must bid on auctions carefully. Once you win, it is yours. Good luck.
Shy ~

Careful is my middle name! In this case, the situation was totally out of my control. That's life. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. The other bidder isn't on the message boards, and for all I know LL may have already contacted him. So I don't want to do anything until I hear from LL's customer service.
Thank you again for your suggestion, though. It was a good one. Meanwhile, I wait for someone to return my call.
