My Seat Finder

Some of you fly more frequently than I do (although I do put in my share of flights). I am wondering if anyone in The Lounge/Community has any first hand experience with:
Airline Seat Selector | Better Than Airline Seating Charts or Maps | Airplane Seat Finder

I like the concept, but haven't signed up. I have an aversion to placing my account numbers and PINs with a third party....moderate paranoia.

Anyone use it or know anyone who uses it?

Since I usually book my flights directly through the airlines web site, I don't usually need sites like this since the airlines for the most part have decent "pick your seat" when you are booking.

I also use "Seat Guru" for choosing a seat....(www.seatguru.com)

[email protected] & bonniejoy03, I book my flight on line at the respective airlines web sites and I use seat guru to review details of the seats. However, as I understand MySeatFinder.com the potential advantage allow a change to more a desirable seat, should one become available prior to departure.

I think I'll tuck this site away in my favorites and consider trying it in the future.

I'm signing up. I have long legs and mild claustrophobia, making middle or window seats extremely uncomfortable for me. Although I always book on-line and choose my seat as soon as I book my ticket, there are many occasions when an aisle seat isn't available, so I spend a lot of time checking the airline's website until I find a seat that I like. It looks like MySeatFinder will do this for me. Thanks for the tip, O!

I generally book my seats with the airline as soon as I make reservations. Having elite status to some of the airlines we fly, helps, being able to book seats in the airlines respective "preferred seating" section.
On long haul flights, I usually check on the seating sites of the respective airlines to determine which rows are still empty the day of the flight. We now have given up twice our preferred seats to move to the back where whole rows of 5 seats were still open. I double check at the gate to confirm that these rows are still free when we board and then we have moved into these rows and spread out. Twice now, we have had 5 seats to ourselves to stretch out on for European flights. To have a row of seats to stretch out on on an overnight flight to Europe is almost better than having a business class seat. Of course, these row of seats might be harder to come by during high season or on busy flight days, but then, we can always stay in our "preferred seats".
