02-26-2012, 08:21 PMWe definitely try to maximize frequent flier miles. We have AMEX Delta credit card and Chase British Airways credit card, we garner most of our miles using these. Delta is difficult to book first/business class using "low" miles but it is doable, just need a lot patience and time to search (over and over again). BA has some very expensive fees, I think we are just going to fly with BA partner American going forward. I am probably in the minority but like Southwest's new program. I fly primiarly on Southwest for business and I seem to be eligiblefor free flights much faster.

H....how do you like the new AVIOS points? I did price using AA or LAN with Avios points from Philly or Baltimore via Miami to South America and the points needed has doubled since the old system. I really am not having much luck with this new system.

Miles needed with alot of the programs have doubled! Continental used to have pretty good redeemtion but since they merged it is now much harder to use miles for free flights or upgrades ;-)

03-13-2012, 09:45 AMI have accumulated a fair number of OnePass miles over the years and now that United has taken over Continental, it seems little complicated trying to use their MileagePlus on line booking site. Anyone else having in problems like this?
