01-12-2013, 05:15 AMI like flying Boeing planes. I just think the company had problems at every phase of the design and development of this revolutionary aircraft and may have rushed it into service too soon. I trust they will resolved their problems soon and the cloud will be removed from the B-787.
I also want to fly it, but I will wait a while and see what happens.

Another Dreamliner Oops
There was another problem for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner over weekend in Tokyo this time - a fuel leak discovered on the same Dreamliner that had a previous fuel leak and an onboard fire last week in Boston.

Whatever happened to quality control - seems like lots of things are being made these days that end up having issues!

Now an emergency landing......
Now an emergency landing in Western Japan.....

All Nippon said the problems Wednesday involved the same lithium-ion batteries that caught fire last week in Boston on a Dreamliner operated by Japan Airlines. The two largest Japanese airlines said Wednesday that they would ground their fleets of Boeing 787 aircraft.
All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines in Japan own 24 of the 50 delivered by Boeing since November 2011. The other operators are Air India, Ethiopian Airlines, LAN Airlines of Chile, LOT of Poland, Qatar Airways and United Airlines.Life is too short.........travel now!

None of this is unexpected, at least to me. Most new (and the Dreamliner is radically new in so many ways) aircraft go through 'issues' in the initial phase. I'll board and fly a B-787 the first time one is available on my usual routes.

01-18-2013, 12:44 PMHey -O-, how come you guys in South Florida continue to have aircraft run into each other? Well, at least it seems to be happening on the ground rather than in the air.

01-18-2013, 12:59 PMI've never flown Aerolineas Argentinas.
I'm sure the pilot in command was buzzing around the taxiway at a pretty good clip (sorry, I should have said 'pace'), when the Air France dude backed into his path.
