New Changes-Luxury Link RED HOT Auctions
I would like to see LL consider preparing a short list of auctions, not generally available on their regular auction page, consisting of "unique" locations and deeply discounted starting prices(maybe selected from the 'best buy' list). Theyshould give these auctions very short bidding periods (maybe 24 hours or less)and my guess is LL will attract lots of activity and generate a new level of interest and frequency of visitation to the site. Perhaps, these auctions should be offered "only one time"....this would eliminate procrastination (I'm guilty) and motivate the interested to take action.
Your thoughts?

Re: Luxury Link Hot List Auctions
Hi O,
I agree, many other auction sites offer this section and it certainly puts the spotlight on these properties that are not getting any bids. No one can turn their back on a great deal, especially when the auction expires quickly !

Hi O and E,
I hope LL will listen to your suggestion and make an effort to implement such a Hot List Auction page. It sound like a win-win situation for all parties concerned. Good suggestion.....

Re: Luxury Link Hot List Auctions
It would really be great if these "Hot Auctions" would be offered to only those who have previously won a bid on the LL site, if it didn't sell within the time frame allocated, it would then be offered to "New Bidders". If they did this once a week on a day that is relatively slow for bidding, this would certainly get
the attention of frequent users of this site. I also think they need to have a suggestion box for locations
that are really popular but not represented (like the Cinque Terre, or Sorrento or Capri). Guess you know where I'm headed, huh?

runaround....sounds like Italy is in your future! Maybe you're right, frequent purchasers should be given first shot at any "Hot Auctions," then if no deal is done, open it to any LL visitor. Why not?runaround wrote:

Hi omegaet & runaround
"Hot Auctions" would be a really good addition to the LL website. But, in order to get a lot more folks interested in bidding, I think these "hot" offerings should be open to everyone. Otherwise, you'll get the same few "hotshot" bidders scrapping for the good stuff, which could turn off many prospective participants.

Hi C,
I agree with you. These Hot Auctions, if LL is inclined to offer them, should be open to everybody.

OK...curtiejoe....let's get LL to set up a "Hot Offerings" list and let's get LL to open the auction to everyone!curtiejoe wrote:

O
Glad you agree. A lot of the time "luxury" is synonomous with "exclusive". And, that's Ok depending on the circumstances. In this instance, I feel taking an "inclusive" approach would be better and may still retain the flavor of "luxury".

Re: Luxury Link Hot List Auctions
curtiejoe...I'm "personally" interested in seeing more unique offerings and not excluding anyone. LL is the perfect web site to offer "upscale" destinations (properties who might want to open their doors to this type of advertising exposure). I don't really worry about competitive bidding or how many people I might be bidding against...I'm only going to offer what I am willing to pay and not a penny more. So let's get a "Hot List" of great locations and let's make the bidding periods very short....be "player" or be a "spectator" but let the games begin!curtiejoe wrote:
