Re: Luxury Link RED Hot List Auctions
Hi C, the Red Hot Auction in Uruquay certainly went for cheap... however, April to September is their winter season and the minimum room rate was $60, that would make $300 for 5 nights.... so maybe it wasn't all that cheap after all, seen the winter/spring isn't quite the best time to spend on the beach, plus Uruquay is a long ways away....

Hi L
You're quite right. At first glance, this Urugay property auction seemed quite a steal. But, I agree that with the various caveats that you've noted, perhaps there was a good reason for the low price. That's why I gave it a glance in passing but decided to pass (how do you get to Urugay anyways?). Goes to show you that the Red Hot Deals do live up to the hype, at least in price.

...interesting to see that LL is now offering LuxeLife items in the RED HOT Auctions. This is a category that may show some promised for innovative offerings in the future.

Re: Luxury Link RED Hot List Auctions
Hi omegaet
Appreciate the 'heads-up' on LuxeLife items now being offered as part of LL's RED HOT AUCTIONS. Had a look at today's offering, but found that the leather travel bag by Prada was quite a bit too pricey at $425. Maybe you're right that there will be other future LuxeLife offerings in the future that could qualify as "RED HOT" deals. Hope so.

"Give the bag wasn't even leather!! But, you got it right!!
I can't even imagine spending the same amount for a handbag I might spend for a short vacation--sorry, not raised that way!!
I can fill a suitcase with nice quality, classic clothing and carry my microfibre bag AND pay for a nice meal for the same $. Even though I spent 20 years in the fashion accessories industry, that's just too too very very...

Re: Luxury Link RED Hot List Auctions
Hi kyshel,
I am with you, $425 for a PRADA label.... that's too pricey for me... ok if they want to give me a bag (or any other item for that matter) with their label on it, but I am not about to spend my hard earned money to parade around some ones' label, let them do their own advertising... I categorically refuse to wear lables....

Re: Luxury Link RED Hot List Auctions
Prada actually has beautiful quality. A Prada bag is an investment - it will last for many many years with proper care. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.
While I didn't care for that particular bag, $500 is incredibly inexpensive for a Prada, and I hope they have more different ones for me to bid on in the future.

Hi funtimes
Wow! You too. Amazing! We were the winning bidders on Cathedral Mountain Lodge when it came up for auction about a month ago. Have now booked our four-night stay at this fabulous Rocky Mountain property for the middle of this September and are really looking forward to it. Have you decided when you'll be staying at the CML? Like you, we're extending our stay by going west towards Vancouver by car and visiting Revelstoke and Penticton along the way. It's bound to be an utterly unforgettable vacation in the beautiful and spectacular Canadian Rockies.

Re: Luxury Link RED Hot List Auctions
Hi L
Like you, I've always refused to wear clothing or shoes sporting someone's name or label. To me, it's pretentious and why should I give that person free advertising by walking around like a mini-billboard?! I guess, being male, it's easier for me to avoid labels as men's clothes and shoes without designer labels can be found quite easily.
