The contest is lame. I entered, but didn't get chosen as one of the five finalists. One part of the rules stated that the photo was supposed to include someone on vacation. A different part of the rules stated that the photo could include landscape or animals. I contacted Luxury Link because I was confused and their response was that I could send in any travel photo. The judges chose only photos with people on vacation and didn't consider portraits, landscape, animals, etc., even though there is nothing photographically exceptional about any of the five. I again contacted Luxury Link and they told me, "We polled different judges regarding the finalists and I am sorry that your photos were not entered." Feeble. At least this contest is better than the Luxury Link hat contest a couple of years ago. I submitted a photo and that's the last I ever heard about the contest. The photos were supposed to be published on the site and prizes were to be awarded, but that never happened.

06-22-2011, 10:11 AM.....we do use the Kindle for our favorite newspapers, when we travel [if we know we can have access to WiFi at our destination(s)], since hard copies are frequently unavailable [actually never in some places].
Once we return home, we simply cancel the subscription and receive credit for the unused balance of the subscription fees.
There are also a number of free books available for the Kindle.....some interesting cookbooks, from which we sometimes download recipes and share with our local chefs!
Since we both sleep or at least attempt to sleep....not too much book reading during our flights.- Ω -

I just downloaded for 99 cents a Mobius book that has the most common phrases for 25 different languages - that comes in handy! When the Kindle 1st came out you could not get Mobius books - they are usually pretty good - think they are Europe based. I have the Kindle with WiFi and 3G so even if no WiFi we can always get to the internet.
I have to admith though, that recently some really nice tablets have come out - I like the new Blackberry one and the Motorola zoom is pretty nice
