L'Avion (www.lavion.fr) is a new low cost, all business-class carrier, which operates a six-days-a-week service (except Saturday) between Paris Orly-Sud and New York Newark with a Boeing 757-200 with 90 seats in a 2 by 2 configuration. Seats have a 147-degree recline and a one-meter seat-pitch. Round-trip fares range from 1600 Euros (with tax and surcharges), or about $2160, to 3000 Euros. Fares currently posted for dates in October - depending on the day of the week you travel (Wednesday seems to be most expensive, Tuesday and Thursday cheapest) - range from 524 Euros to 977 Euros on the way out and 616 Euros to 936 Euros on the way back (plus taxes).
