New Vacationist Property----weo!

I see "Vacationist" will be adding Voreina Gallery Suites in Santorini. I am impressed! We have made reservations there for June. They are so wonderful to work with and I have enjoyed planning my trip to their lovely spot. Thank you LL for adding them.

I am not thrilled with Vacationist. They advertised for the Vuyani Lodge at $387 vs $587 per night or something like that. The promotion was ending 1/28/13. When I pulled up the availability, the entire block for Oct. Nov. Dec. was blanked out with no availability.
I wound up booking 2 rooms for November 2013 at bookings.com. There was availability but not at the $387 advertised price. The owner of the Vuyani Lodge said he did not understand what happened, however, I am still paying the higher price.....

The sale ended on Jan. 28 and I booked on Jan. 29. Outch.... "

No, I tried to book with Vacationist/LL on Jan. 28 and found the whole block of Oct, Nov, Dec. marked "unavailable". The Vacationist sale ended Jan. 28. I did not try to contact anybody at Vacationist or LL on Jan. 28, since we had just gotten back home from our Hawaii/Tahiti trip. On Jan. 29, I saw the Vuyani Lodge advertised at Booking.com and booked the 2 rooms with Booking.com. I could get one room directly, but for the second room, Booking.com had to call Mr. Bernard to confirm the second room. Both rooms were booked at Booking.com rates on Jan. 29. I was disgusted with Vacationist/LL because the entire block of Oct.Nov.Dec. showed "unavailable" on Jan. 28, but perhaps I was still too jet-lagged to act and call LL on the Vacationist Vuyani Lodge offer to ask why the entire block sowed unavailable. I probably should have called, especially since it was the last day the offer was available........ Mr. Bernard though could not explain why the entire block of Oct., Nov., Dec. showed unavailable on Jan. 28 at the LL/Vacationist site when I talked to him later on on a different matter concerning my booking.
I guess, I was asleep at the switch on Jan. 28, the last day of the offer. Under normal circumstances, I would have called LL/Vacationist and questioned the fact why the entire 3 months of Oct. Nov. Dec. of this offer showed no availability.
